Our story
The Arrowhead Hunting Retriever Club (AHRC) came to be in the fall of 2016 by a group of dedicated hunters and retriever sports enthusiasts. Many of whom were already well versed in training and running their dogs in hunt test settings. They wanted to explore a different hunt test venue that would challenge the dogs and handlers in a realistic hunting scenario. Located in Northeastern Minnesota, well within the region known to many as the "Arrowhead" of Minnesota..
The goal was to bring to the community a place to come together and safely train and run dogs in real hunting situations while keeping the the atmosphere relaxed and family friendly. Another benefit is to educate the public to use retrievers as a positive conservation tool.
